president and co-owner of Scott Funeral Home, Chatham, Virginia, died December 29, 2011, at age 88. Scott was a World War II Army veteran and served in the Quartermaster Corps in the European Theater. He co-owned the funeral home with his late brother, Kenneth, and nephew William. He is survived by wife Ellen, son W. Curtis Jr., daughter Patricia and three grandchildren.
